About Me

ABout me

My name is Taylor Johnson. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. To say I live and breathe telemark skiing would be a bit of an understatement. Telemark skiing is in my blood. I come from a family of telemark skiers. My father (Russell) and grandfather (Lloyd) introduced me to telemark skiing when I was 8 years old. My dad found a pair of the kids telemark boots and I have not had a day “locked down” since. Telemark skiing is my passion that drives me on and off the mountain.

When it was time for college… my parents asked “Is there anywhere you’d like to go for school?” I responded “Is anywhere else 35 minutes from Alta? Otherwise I am going to the University of Utah”. I  was able to take a slightly alternate route through college and primarily took classes May-December which allowed me to ski as much as possible January-May. I graduated with a Marketing degree from the Eccles School of Business.

Telemark skiing has introduced me to some of the best people I know and allowed me the
opportunity to explore new mountains in the USA and Europe. My goals as a telemark skier are to push myself to find my limits both mentally and physically. As well as travel the world and explore new mountain ranges in search of the perfect turn.
